Hampton, GA (Oct. 25, 2004) - World of Outlaws star, Danny "The Dude" Lasoski is keeping alive his streak of being the first series competitor on the scene to get seat time. Lasoski began practicing in the Crown Royal cars in preparation for the one million dollar championship round of the 2004 Crown Royal International Race of Champions, which takes place this Saturday, October 30, at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Lasoski has a shot at the championship, which was helped along by his dominating win in round two, of the four-race series, at Texas Motor Speedway in April.

"Man, let me tell you, I got comfortable as soon as I got in the cars, it felt just like Texas," said Lasoski. "It was great to get out on the track here at Atlanta. I got to run with the guys a little and the cars feel really great. "

"I'm really excited about being down here for this race and actually having a shot at that Crown Royal IROC million. Winning Texas was great and having a shot at this championship, oh man, I can't tell you how much I want to win this thing."

Test drivers, Dave Marcis, Jim Sauter and Jay Sauter would run practice laps with Lasoski between doing speed checks on the race cars. Of their time on the track with Lasoski, Dave Marcis said, "I was listening to Danny's lap times and he almost immediately fell into the same category as Jim, Jay and I, so I knew he had to be pretty comfortable."

Marcis continued, "We let Danny run on his own for a while when we were working on the race cars, then we ran about 50-laps together and he looked very good. He was running the corners properly and again, turning the lap times, so I'd say he's where he needs to be for the race."

On track practice sessions for the Crown Royal International Race of Champions will continue throughout the week at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The Saturday, October 30, one million dollar championship round of the Crown Royal IROC Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway will be broadcast on Speed Channel at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
