Speedway Pavement Divisional Racers
04.04.2008 - Within the last few days, WKA released a statement indicating a change in the national schedule for the Rage Karts Speedway Pavement Series by virtue of a loss of a venue in Indiana for 2008. Those changes have affected the schedules for two divisional programs, the Northeast Speedway Pavement Series and the Maryland Speedway Pavement Series.
With the announcement of the OCR Action Sports Park Grand National event replacing the July New Castle race the weekend of July 11-13, the scheduled Northeast Speedway Pavement Series Divisional at Thunder Road in Vermont has been moved to the following weekend, July 19 and 20.
Additionally, with the announcement of the national finale the weekend of October 3-5 at BeaveRun Motorsports Complex, officials of the Maryland Speedway Pavement Series have graciously elected to move their finale to the following weekend, October 12.
On behalf of the World Karting Association, our sincerest thanks to all parties involved for their work in helping to iron out these challenges, and our deepest apologies to our speedway pavement series competitors for any inconvenience these decisions may have caused.
