Daytona KartWeek - The Tradition Continues

10.13.2008 - The return of Daytona KartWeek by Cometic over the Christmas and New Year's holiday is once again in place for this December. The World Center of Racing, aka Daytona International Speedway, will host the 2009-season opening events for the Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series driven by Mazda and the George Kugler/ Bridgestone Manufacturer's Cup Series driven by Mazda December 28-30, 2008.

Event load-in will begin a little earlier this year with Manufacturer's Cup sponsors and Road Race sponsors and garage occupants kicking off the activities at 9am. Competitor load-in will start at 11am. The day will end with a welcoming party co-hosted by WKA & DIS. The party is open to all competitors and will be held from 5pm -- 8pm in the Sprint FANZONE.

In addition, the Daytona 500 club will once again be the site of the year-end awards banquets for the Manufacturer's Cup and Road Race and Series competitors.
