WKA To Run Open Exhibition Class At Gold Cup Opener

02.23.2009 - As competitors prepare for the upcoming Michigan Kart Supply Nationals March 20-22, at Lowe's Motor Speedway for the Bully Clutches Gold Cup Series, many will have an opportunity to witness some rather diverse motor packages, as well as some phenomenal horsepower.

Beginning with Friday Practice, a Demonstration "Open Class" will take part in the weekend festivities. In the past couple years; the Unlimited All Stars have vastly become one of the fastest growing series in the country. Combining that popularity with WKA's desire to exhaust every possible avenue in helping the racer find a place in the national program makes this a true win win situation.

Entry fee for the Open racers will be $70. Competitors will practice on Friday with the national points classes, and run a 12 lap exhibition race Saturday, immediately following the drivers meeting. Drivers will be required to have their karts teched before going on to the track.
