BULL WINS THIRD OF THE YEAR AS ARDC INVADES ORANGE COUNTY

Middletown, NY - Five-time and defending ARDC Midget Series champion Ray Bull captured his third victory of the season on Saturday night, as the Ray's Yamaha/Polaris/Victory Tour 2005 invaded the Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, NY.

Bull, the "Bloomsburg Blaster", blazed a trail from his 12th starting spot to ride in fourth place by the time one lap was completed. He followed rookie Andy Martin by early leader Steve Lenig on lap four, then catapulted by Martin to grab the top spot as they raced down the long backstretch.

Bull went on to win by a comfortable margin over Martin, the Gordonville (PA) Flash. Mike Miller, Birdsboro, PA, came on late in the race to claim the third position. Miller executed a couple of exciting "slide job" passes on Lenig and Ed Stimely, Jr. to gain the third spot, then almost nipped Martin at the finish line in a close battle for the runner-up position.

The mighty midgets of the American Racing Drivers Club (ARDC) will travel to western Pennsylvania for their next events. On Saturday, July 23, the teams will compete at Mercer Raceway, running twin 25-lap features. One race at Mercer will be wingless, while the other main event will be run with wings.

On Sunday, July 24, ARDC makes the short hop from Mercer to Latrobe Speedway. Wingless heats and a 20-lap feature are on tap at Latrobe.
