BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY'S 1999 SCHEDULE

WALL TO WALL RACING EXCITEMENT

BLOOMINGTON, IN (January 6, 1999) - Bloomington Speedway's 1999 schedule is one of the busiest in the history of the southern Indiana oval. With the exception of two weeks, there will be action every Friday night from the beginning of May through the end of August. From wall to wall, the racing calendar mixes the best short track touring organizations in the country, with Bloomington's popular Pennzoil Cup sprint car series, open wheel modifieds and street stocks.

The Pennzoil World of Outlaws fire up Bloomington on Wednesday, April 14, during their first Midwest swing of the '99 season. The USAC sprint car series will compete twice in 1999, the third night of Indiana Sprint Week on Friday, July 23, followed by Bloomington's 11th Sheldon Kinser Memorial on August 27. On June 4, the All Stars Circuit of Champions returns to the red clay banks for the first time since 1994. The Northern All Stars Late Model series will headline on June 18, after being rained-out in 1998. The NAMARS midgets and non-winged sprint cars share the bill on August 20th. Finally, the fourth annual Street Stock & Open Wheel Modified Nationals will ring down the curtain on September 17.
