NAMARS/Auto Value Rookie Program Gets More Money For '98 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The NAMARS / Auto Value Midget Series has acquired separate sponsorship for the NAMARS rookie point fund that will pay the Champion $1,500, second place will pay $1,000, third place will pay $600, and fourth place will pay $400.

Many contingencies will also be awarded to the rookie driver champion, one being a Design 500 driving uniform and several embroidered jackets from various sponsors. Along with that the car that is used to win the rookie championship will be eligible for a CUSTOM SET OF HEADERS made by Jeff Howerton of HOWERTON PRODUCTS in Indianapolis.

Currently, NAMARS is in negotiations with other sponsors that are interested in working with the rookies. So far the sponsors that will be participating with the NAMARS rookie program are: Bob Higman, (HIGMAN RACING) Joe and Andy Michner, (J and S DISTRIBUTING) The Seymour Family in memory of 'Boston Louie Seymour', Skip Hultgren, The Painter Motorsports Group, Jim Chinn Motorsports, Ronnie Johncox, Howerton Products and R.F.M.S. Inc. or Galesburg, IL.

Along with competing for the 'ROOKIE CHAMPIONSHIP' the rookies and car owners will also be earning points and coupons toward the NAMARS national points championship and national points fund, awards and contingencies also.
