German GP: Alice Team Friday notes

NEW TECHNICALS CHANGES BRING HOPES IN THE FIRST DAY OF FREE PRACTICE FOR THE ALICE TEAM

Also thanks to the technical updates received from Ducati, Alice Team riders have improved their performances today compared the last races. Sylvain Guintoli, who showed a good feeling with his Ducati Desmosedici GP8 Sat in Donington and Assen, has made further steps forward positioning only four tenth of a second from the fourth position. The French rider, who has been really regular in both free sessions, has committed a mistake while entering the last corner in his last lap, when his intermediate time was three tenth of a second faster compared to the previous one. Guintoli has concluded with the eleventh fastest lap time of the day. In the other side of the garage the day went differently: Toni Elias has encountered many difficulties, but thanks to the good work done with his technical staff found a good compromised to end with the thirteenth best lap time.

"We have two good sessions. Sylvain has found himself at ease on the bike since the first few laps and this is very important for us. Usually we had to fight to conquer the positions we already are: things seem to have changed and now we can aim for better positions. This also thanks to the updates we have received here. After the traction control received in Donington and with the new variable intake trumpet tried here, now the bike is exactly the same as the official Team. The rider is really happy after this change and it's a pity about the mistake he has done in the last turn otherwise he could have been much higher in today's classification."

"It has been a good day for us, I am only sorry I have made that mistake in the last turn while I was about to register my best lap time. I have a really interesting race rhythm: after the Barcelona test we have worked really well and the new updates we have just received has made the bike much more easy to ride. I feel it much more responsive and this allows me to be more consistent in every lap."

"I have done my best lap time behind another rider and therefore I can't be too satisfied. But I am trustful for the future: the bike has improved a lot thanks to the new updates and from tomorrow I am sure we will be able to do much more. I am convinced about it and we will do our best, as always!"
