Schrader's Thoughts On Bristol Motor Speedway...
"Just thinking about going to Bristol - I have to stop and take a deep breath. That track gets so small with 43 cars beating and banging on each other for 500 miles. It gives the fans some great racing, but it is a stressful race.
"I have to admit that Bristol is a fun race, but it's not one of my best when it comes to overall performance. It's just so easy to get wrecked there. Hopefully though, the "M&M's"® Racing Team's luck will change this weekend and we'll leave Bristol with all our fenders still intact."
"M&M's"® Racing At Bristol Motor Speedway...
* Be sure to get a good look at the No. 36 "M&M's"® Pontiac this weekend. This is the last time that the bright yellow No. 36 will circle the track for two months. Over the next seven races, the No. 36 will carry the colors of Combos®, The Global Color Vote(tm) and Pedigree®. The familiar "M&M's"® car will return to the track in June at Dover Downs International Speedway.
* Last spring the "M&M's"® Racing Team had a strong qualifying effort at the world's fastest half-mile. The No. 36 car qualified 10th, but fell victim to one of the track's many wrecks.
* Although Winston Cup teams will enjoy a weekend off next week, Schrader will take to the dirt tracks of the Midwest. He will race in Joplin, Mo., on Friday night and at his own track, I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., on Saturday night.
* Don't forget that you have a choice in the color car that Schrader will pilot for the August race at Bristol Motor Speedway. To cast your vote for pink, purple or aqua, all you have to do is log onto www.mms.com. As part of the GLOBAL COLOR VOTE(tm), you can choose which color you want added to the famous "M&M's"® mix. The winning color - pink, purple or aqua - will be the color for the No. 36 machine for that one event.
