Notes: All three NASCAR series will compete on the same tires this weekend at Dover . . . this this will be the first time NASCAR teams will run this particular combination of left- and right-side tires in 2003. . . also, Dover is the only track where NASCAR teams will run this same tire set-up . . . Winston Cup and Busch teams did run this right-side code (D-6372) at Charlotte last week, but with a different left-side code . . . this combination is relatively new to Goodyear's tire line, having been run for the first time at Dover last September . . . in addition to Charlotte and Dover, this right-side code will be used at Kansas in 2003 . . . teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Dover . . . the air pressure in the inner liners must be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Tire Development: "Goodyear introduced this particular tire set-up with great success at Dover last Fall. In addition, the right-sides we'll bring this week were used by Winston Cup teams over the past two weeks in Charlotte, so teams should have a lot of good notes on these tires to work from."
