Event: Las Vegas
Lally, TRG Motorsports Confident for Las Vegas
Mooresville, NC (March 3, 2011)- Returning to the site of one of the team’s first breakout performances, TRG Motorsports and driver Andy Lally are setting their sights high for this weekend’s Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Driving the No. 71 Eco Fuel Saver Chevrolet Impala SS, the team remains positive as they look for their best performance of the season. After getting caught in two successive accidents in as many weeks, the team knows that Las Vegas is the perfect locale to change fortunes. In 2009, Las Vegas was the site of the team’s first ever top-20 finish in company history, and expectations are very high.
For Lally, a chance to run at a new track in a Sprint Cup Series car is always an exciting opportunity.
“I’m really looking forward to this weekend’s race,” stated Lally. “The guys have been putting in a lot of work to really deliver for everyone at Eco Fuel Saver, and Las Vegas could be a really good track for us. It’s unfortunate to have been caught out in incidents that weren’t our making, so a fast, clean race will be a great event for us.”
For Team Owner Kevin Buckler, a return to one of the team’s better tracks is a welcome opportunity.
“Las Vegas has a special memory as one of the places that really showed the strength of our team,” claimed Buckler. “Andy and all of the guys have been working really hard, and we know the results are there. Eco Fuel Saver has been an amazing partner to work with, and I really look forward to delivering the results we’re capable of.”
The Kobalt Tools 500 will take place on Sunday, March 6th, and broadcast live on Fox at 3PM ET.
