DAVE BLANEY PLANS TO CAPITALIZE ON PAST CHICAGOLAND SUCCESS:
* After capturing a third place finish last weekend at Daytona International Speedway, Dave Blaney and the ABF U-PACK Moving team plan to carry that momentum to Chicago. Suffering a string of bad luck in recent weeks, Blaney and the No.10 team believe they are back on track. Sitting second in series point standings for most of the season, Blaney surrendered that position in Milwaukee and slipped back to sixth after a DNF at New Hampshire. The third place finish in Daytona catapulted Blaney back to fourth and he is now closing in on recapturing the second spot. He currently sits 112 points behind second place Kevin Harvick.
* Dave Blaney has proved he knows the quick way around Chicagoland Speedway. In a combined nine starts in Busch Series and Nextel Cup Series competition, Blaney has captured a top-10 starting spot five times. In three Busch series races at Chicagoland, Blaney has two top-15 finishes. Piloting the No.32 for Braun Racing in the 2006 running of the USG Durock 300, Blaney started from the outside pole and finished 13th.
BLANEY ON RACING AT CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY:
"I'm really looking forward to Chicagoland. This is one of the races I ran for Braun Racing last year and we did really well. We almost got the pole, ran pretty well, and came home with a 13th place finish. Running full-time this year has given us even more information that we had to work with last year so I think we'll be even better this weekend. Our mile and a half program at Braun is really good. With the help that we get from Toyota, we've been able to be competitive each and every week. We've had our share of bad luck but hopefully all of that is behind us and we can focus on getting a win!"
