The Diamond Hill Plywood 200 will be Ward Burton's 10th start in the #27 Brewco entry in 2007. His best finish in eight races is 8th; best start 5th both at Talladega on April 28th.
Kleenex will be displayed on the hood of the #27 Ford Fusion this week; Viva Towels on the TV panel; and Poise/Shop Towels on the lower rear quarter panels.
Been there, done that ... Ward Burton knows the way to Victory Lane at Darlington Raceway. The Virginia veteran has won twice in Cup competition -- Spring, 2000 and Fall, 2001 -- at the track "Too Tough to Tame". Burton also has one Cup pole at Darlington -- Spring 1995.
Ward Burton on Darlington: "Darlington has been a good track for me throughout my career. It's a tough track, egg-shaped, and one (track) that you have to respect from start to finish. The turns are completely different, and it's very difficult to get your car to handle well in both ends. It's a track that, traditionally, is tough on tires, so you must have a good handling car and tire management to be successful. Darlington is always a challenge, but I'm looking forward to a strong run in the Kleenex Ford Fusion this week."
