THE RACE: GNC Live Well 250 - Daytona International Speedway - 8 PM - 250 miles (100 laps)

THE TRACK: Daytona Beach's track is a 2.5 mile high banked Super Speedway

TV/RADIO: Friday July 5 - FX 7:30 PM/MRN 7:30 PM

COMPTON AT DAYTONA: In February Stacy started 6th and led 16 laps until a flat tire relegated him to a 20th place finish.

COMPTON ON DAYTONA: I love Super Speedway racing and there is no bigger event than a race at Daytona. It is an unforgettable experience to take parade laps and see that big ole place all lit up and full of fans. I wouldn't want to pay the light bill though.

CREW CHIEF COMMENTS: We had a legitimate shot at winning the Daytona Race in February until we ran over some debris while we were leading and cut down a tire. We had a legitimate shot at winning in Talladega, finishing a close second in that race. This is the same car and, as always, the folks at Childress Engines will give us plenty of power under the hood. We can't wait to get the race started and see if we can't win one for our Sponsors.
