"That's what we run in practice. The track has slowed down. I was just hoping it was a pretty good time because I sat it down there in the corners pretty good. We equaled our better time of this morning, so, that's pretty good. No, I really wasn't surprised that my time held up. That just shows how much the track did slow down."

"That was pretty much hung out as far as it would go. It was right there and it ran pretty good. The sun came out and changed things, but I think it changed things for everyone, not just me."

"That was a good effort for us. This is the same car we had at Charlotte last week and got it messed up. They really worked hard this week to get it back together. We ran a .44 in practice and I think a .40 in qualifying, so that's pretty close. The guys made the right call on tires. The race track was different this morning, it was cool and overcast. I know that concrete isn't supposed to be as affected by the sun, but when that sun came out, the track got a little slicker."

"Everybody seemed to drop off from practice, but we actually picked up three-tenths. I got loose going into (Turn) 1 really bad. I really tried to drive it in there, and it didn't quite stick and it got a little loose. But I got through (Turns) 3 and 4 really good. The tires really helped me out there. We scuffed our tires a little bit and must have hit it just right, because the car stuck pretty good for us. We've really been concentrating more on race setups rather than qualifying ... but I don't know if it's concrete tracks or what, but we seem to run really good on 'em. Hopefully, we're gonna have a good day tomorrow."
