CHAD "NEON" MCCUMBEE LOOKING GOOD FOR BRISTOL; LOCAL BRISTOL COMPANY AERUS ON BOARD WITH tiwi
BRISTOL, Tenn. (August 17, 2009) -- Chad McCumbee's SS Green Light Racing No. 07 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chevrolet will be highly visible under the lights next Wednesday night at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS). In addition to the lime green logo of primary sponsor tiwi on the hood and TV panel of the truck, the bright orange Aerus logo will don the deck lid and quarter panels.
"There's nothing better than a night race at Bristol," said McCumbee. "And having a car that stands out under the lights is really cool.
"Having two companies that are interested in being a part of our team is even cooler because sponsorships are pretty hard to find these days. It's all about connections and tiwi's relationship with Aerus, which is located right down the road, made it all possible."
The proximity of the tiwi manufacturing facility with more than 100 employees to the race at BMS and its relationship with tiwi made participation in the O'Reilly 200 an easy decision for Aerus.
"Our employees are so excited," said Aerus CEO Joe Urso. "Chad is going to spend the afternoon with our employees on Tuesday before the race and they get to take pride in the truck on the track the next night with their logo on it. It's their truck and that goes a long way for employee morale."
McCumbee will look to improve upon his 11th-place finish at the .533-mile high- banked oval.
"I really enjoy racing at Bristol," said McCumbee. "You have to be really patient, yet know when to get really aggressive. It's just good short track racing." And a neon smile is waiting to shine as McCumbee, who played the role of Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the ESPN movie "3," looks for his first truck series victory.
