Big Diamond practice Tuesday, May 21, open to all classes.
Minersville, PA - May 20 - The first Big Diamond Raceway Open Practice Night is scheduled for tomorrow night, May 21, at 7:30. No membership is required and any and all divisions of racing cars will be permitted to participate in this open practice with pit admission set at $15.00 to cover insurance.
In addition to the weekly Modified, Sportsman and Roadrunner cars it is possible that some of the touring divisions, with dates at Big Diamond later this year, will have some cars on hand including the MACS Super Late Models, 410 Sprints, URC 360 Sprints and KARS 358 Sprints. A number of pure stocks have also indicated they plan to attend and there have been inquiries from 270cc and 600cc Micro Sprints.
The practice session will be structured by division, as car counts will allow. A rotation will be set starting with Modifieds starting followed by Sportsman and other divisions as necessary. That rotation will continue throughout the night with the number of laps per division increasing with each rotation. Practice will continue until at least 10 PM as long as competitors on hand continue to want laps.
Fans are invited to observe the Tuesday practice night without charge.
This Friday night, May 24, Big Diamond will open the stands at 6PM for an 8PM start. Action will feature the Modifieds in the Spring 50 paying $4000-to-win, the Sportsman Stocks and the Roadrunners in NASCAR Weekly Racing Series action presented by Dodge.
