NOTES OF INTEREST:

* This is the first Busch North Series race and the first NASCAR-sanctioned event at Adirondack International Speedway. Therefore no official track records have been established.

* The Little Trees 150 will be the first race under the lights at Adirondack International Speedway.

* Adirondack International Speedway opened in 2001 and has hosted previous events for late model stock cars, modifieds, and supermodifieds. In addition to the half-mile track on which the Little Trees 150 will be held, Adirondack is constructing an "almost mile" oval which will share the front straight and grandstand with the present track. The larger track has already been graded.

* While it takes its name from the mountains visible on the eastern horizon, Adirondack International Speedway is actually located in the farmlands of the Black River Valley in Lewis County, N.Y. Via State Route 12, it is about 55 miles north of Utica and 30 miles southeast of Watertown. The event sponsor, Car Freshner Corporation, is headquartered in Watertown.

STAT OF THE WEEK

The last time the Busch North Series teams faced a learning curve this steep was in 1987, the series' inaugural year. Races were scheduled at both Jennerstown and Clearfield, Pa., a pair of half-mile tracks that had just been converted from dirt to pavement so no one had any experience from which to draw... and the races were run on consecutive days! Bobby Dragon outran Jimmy Spencer and Dale Shaw at Clearfield and Kelly Moore edged Billy Clark and Joey Kourafas at Jennerstown. The latter was the first of 23 wins to date for the all-time Busch North Series leader.
