Second Coors Light Award In Three Events
KALISPELL, Mont. -- Greg Pursley earned the inaugural Coors Light Pole Award in NASCAR K&N Pro Series West qualifying at Montana Raceway Park for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts Bonus Challenge 150.
Pursley, out of Newhall, Calif., notched his second start at the front of the pack in three races by patrolling the tight, high-banked .25-mile oval in 13.772 seconds for an average speed of 65.350 mph. Additionally, it was his fourth series career pole award.
Starting alongside Pursley in the front row is Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Michael Self, out of Park City, Utah, who logged a time of 13.847 seconds (64.996 mph).
The second row consists of David Mayhew with a time of 13.897 seconds (64.762 mph) and Jonathan Gomez, who posted a time of 13.917 seconds (64.762 mph).
Series rookie Luis Martinez Jr. registered the fifth-fastest qualifying time at 13.956 seconds (64.488 mph). The remainder of the top-10 starters consists of Paulie Harraka, current points leader Eric Holmes, Daryl Harr, Travis Bennett and Gary Lewis.
