Holmes and the No. 20 Toyota team looking for 5th win of season
Antelope, CA-Eric Holmes continues to lead the field in the race for the 2010 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West championship. He heads next to Miller Motorsports Park with a 114 point lead after taking the No. 20 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry from Bill McAnally Racing to victory the past two NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Toyota/NAPA AUTO PARTS Bonus Challenge races. The race will be on Sunday September 12th.
"We'll have a great NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry for the road course," said Holmes. Holmes finished in eighth last season after battling a tight condition during the practice sessions and for the first half of the race. "Our crew chief Matt Goslant and the NAPA team have really been turning our road course program around. We have top-five finishes on both of the road courses we went to this year and we're looking to put the NAPA Toyota in Victory Lane."
Holmes won three of four Toyota/NAPA AUTO PARTS Bonus Challenge races and the $10,000 bonus. The race at Miller Motorsports Park is the fifth of the five-race Toyota/NAPA AUTO PARTS Bonus Challenge Series. Teammate Paulie Harraka won the first at All American Speedway. Holmes went to Victory Lane at Douglas County, Montana Raceway Park and Colorado National. He also won at Phoenix at the companion race with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
