Will out after one, looks to Topeka
KIRKERSVILLE, Ohio (May 21, 2006) -- Hillary Will was turned back by "Hot Rod" Fuller in the opening round of eliminations at the NHRA Pontiac Performance Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment.
Will's KB Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta Motorsports-managed Top Fuel dragster cover the National Trail Raceway quarter-mile in 4.607 seconds at 321.58 mph on what has been a tricky track all weekend. Fuller turned on the win light in 4.504 seconds.
Next up for Will is the O'Reilly Summer Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka (Kan.) over the Memorial Day weekend (May 25-28).
ESPN2 will air same-day television coverage of eliminations for the 42nd Pontiac Performance Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment from 8 until 11 p.m. this evening (May 21). The elimination show repeats early Tuesday morning (May 23) from 3-5 a.m. Television times are Eastern Time (ET) and subject to change at anytime. Check local listings.
