Redlight Ends Bradford's Day
The bug that kept Tom Bradford under the weather on the second day of NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle qualifying at the Chicago event was not a factor in his round 1 redlight on race day. "I could blame it on that if I wanted to, but I can't," said Bradford. "I felt fine today, felt confident, felt good."
"I just had a lack of focus," continued Tom. "It's frustrating. I threw away an awesome run and feel like I threw away the team's chances. We had the second best time of the round and had a bike that could win.
"Reaction times are gonna have to be more of a focus on my qualifying runs. Seven years ago when I was at his Pro Stock school, George Bryce said that you have to treat every lap like it's eliminations. This was the most competitive field in history and you have to push the tree...but this was just a lack of focus on my part."
Bradford will have a chance to practice his lights right away, as the team stays in Chicago for testing on Monday.
