Memphis: Scott Weis Friday pit notes

Memphis, Friday; Scott Weis and the Wiseguy crew are in the number 11 position with a 5.00 after the second round of qualifying at the Auto Zone Nationals.

After a first round abort where Scott was up in smoke at the 100 foot mark, things start looking up for the Wiseguys in Friday's second session. The second round started out good, and Scott was able to step up with a 5.00 even though he dropped a cylinder at 1000 foot.

Scott said "We are pumped by our performance today. It was disappointing to have a hole go out on such a good second run because the telemetry shows if she had stayed lit it would have been an easy 4.90. When that slug stops doing it's part, this thing nosed over like the parachute deploying, but I stayed in it. Hopefully we will do better tomorrow.
