Anderson Trying to Beat His Own Record
Rock Hill, S.C. -- (July 27, 2004) Chicago Pneumatic (CP), manufacturer of high quality automotive, construction and industrial tools and Greg Anderson are on their way to beating Anderson's own Pro Stock record of 12-wins from last year.
Anderson went up against young-gun Dave Connolly in finals at the 17th annual CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals at Pacific Raceways on Sunday.
Anderson came out the victor in the end, recording his 11th win of the season and continuing to dominate the Pro Stock category in 2004.
Although Connolly lost, he didn't walk away from Seattle without any wins. He took a win in his Bullet Motorsports Super Comp car just prior to his Pro Stock final.
Cruz Pedregon and his Advance Auto Parts Funny Car made their second final appearance in two races over the weekend.
Pedregon faced 12-time champion John Force in finals.
Unfortunately, Pedregon fell to a tire-smoking machine and Force went onto the Winner's Circle.
The NHRA wraps up a three-week stretch at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. this weekend.
