Thursday test notes at Mid-Ohio.
- The Formula Ford 2000 Zetec Championship has three half-hour test sessions Thursday, as part of the promoters test day in preparation for Rounds Five and Six, The Mid-Ohio Road Racing Classic.
- The first session gets underway at 8:00 a.m. local time, under sunny and hot conditions.
- 18 cars are take part in the first session, with no incidents of note.
- The second session commences at 9:20 a.m., with 19 cars taking to the track.
- The session is briefly halted when No. 38 Rose spins and stalls on course.
- The only incident of note in the second session, is No. 28 Pecorari, who only completed one lap, after an A-arm broke.
- The third and final session gets underway at 1:00 p.m.
- It has gotten hotter as the day has progressed.
- Several drivers have reported the track is getting slicker.
- The third session is halted just prior to completion, when No. 24 D. Prendeville goest off-course in turn six and becomes stuck in the gravel trap.
- The Zetec Championship will have the first of two 30-minute practice sessions prior to qualifying, Friday, June 27, at 11:10 a.m.
