This round is the fourth of nine rounds that the Barber Dodge Pro Series will race in support of a CART FedEx Series event.

Jon Fogarty of Portola Valley, Ca. currently enjoys a 15-point lead over Sepp Koster of the Netherlands. Fogarty enters this race coming off of his second consecutive win at the Tenneco Automotive Grand Prix of Detroit. Both races were won from the pole, wire-to-wire.

Jon Fogarty Looking for Hat Trick in Cleveland

(LAKEVILLE, Conn.) June 26, 2000 -Jon Fogarty will arrive at round six of the 2000 Barber Dodge Pro Series looking for his third win on the trot. Having won from the pole at Lime Rock in late May, and Detroit two weeks ago, Fogarty has amassed a 15-point margin in the hunt for the $305,000 Career Enhancement Award given to the Pro Series champion. Fogarty not only won both races from pole, but led every lap in the process.

A third win however will not be easy for Fogarty who has recently established residence in Wellington, Nevada. Defending race champion, Nilton Rossoni of Brazil, lies third in the Barber Dodge Pro Series standings, 17-points behind Fogarty. Rossoni was victorious in the opening two rounds of the series in Sebring and Homestead. Dutchman Sepp Koster, second in the championship hunt, lagging 15-points behind Fogarty, opened his race winning account in the Barber Dodge Pro Series earlier this year with his first win at Nazareth.

Stiff competition should also come from Matt Plumb (fifth in the overall standings) who has enjoyed an upturn in speed recently. Plumb scored his best career finish at the previous round in Detroit with a well-earned second place. He demonstrated his speed at Lime Rock Park as well until some fluid on the track caught him out in the race's early stages.

Andy Lally's podium streak ended in Detroit, yet he will still be one to watch as he is in the hunt for the championship as well as Rookie of the Year honors. He will have to contend with the hard-charging Ryan Hunter-Reay for the Rookie of the Year title as well as the series crown. Lally is fourth in the standings while Hunter-Reay, sixth, lies only five points behind Lally.

The Marconi Grand Prix of Cleveland is the fourth of nine rounds that the Barber Dodge Pro Series will support the CART FedEx Series.
