BARBER DODGE PRO SERIES ROUND 5: Friday Test Sessions

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 13) - Derek Hill, Tony Renna, Rino Mastronardi, Steve Rikert and Andy Boss set the pace during testing for Barber Dodge Round 5 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. In the morning session, Hill s best was a 1:26.367, with Mastronardi next at 1:26.508. In the afternoon session, under hotter skies Renna turned a 1:26.709, Mastronardi again was second with a 1:27.094, and Boss third quick with a 1:27.185. Hill, Jarle Gasland and Martin Stenshorne got their signals crossed as the three of them came up on a slower car in the Keyhole 10 minutes into the session; each lost a corner of the car in the resulting incident. Official practice is Saturday morning at 10:20 a.m., everyone on sticker Goodyears.
