If you are in the Middle Atlantic region and are interested in seeing exciting, grass-roots sports car road racing, head to Summit Point Raceway for the Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series (MARRS).
Six races in the MARRS series will held at the natural terrain 2-mile, 10-turn road course track located near Charles Town (not Charleston) WV. Summit Point is located about 65 miles from Washington, DC.
The paddock will be full as the Washington D.C. Region always have over 200 cars in 8 or 9 races each race weekend. Saturday is reserved for practice and qualifying, or short sprint races. Sunday involves 15 lap races for each group. Tickets are very reasonably priced and access to the paddock is free with your paid admission. Camping is also free.
April 18-19 National (25-lap) races May 2-3 MARRS I Regional (15-lap) races June 13-14 MARRS II Regional races July 18-19 MARRS V Regional races August 15-16 MARRS VII Regional races September 5-7 Double MARRS VIII & IX Regional races September 26-27 Sprints/Enduros.
In addition, the Washington D.C. Region, SCCA will be staffing the Jefferson 500 vintage sports car races on May 15-17.
