ALLSTAR: Butler: Event preview

All Stars challenge Michigan drivers at Butler Motor Speedway July 13.

TOLEDO, OH -- Saturday night July 13 the cars and stars of the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series make their annual trek to the 3/8 mile high banks of Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, MI. This year marks the 50th year of operation for the Wolverine State oval, which always has a large contingent of local drivers on hand ready to challenge the All Stars.

The All Stars have visited Butler a dozen times in the past, with 10 different drivers visiting victory lane there. Prior winners include Tim Green, Dave Blaney, Denny Donaldson, Jac Haudenschild, Rich Vogler, Robbie Stanley, Jeff Shepard, Kenny Jacobs, Joey Saldana (3 wins) and last year's winner Eunice, LA driver Jason Johnson.

Jack Hewitt's two-seat sprint car will also be on hand on the 13th to go along with a full program of All Star time trials, heat races, dash, consolation races and a $5,000 to win A Main.
