Utica-Rome Books Empire Super Sprints For Wednesday Night 2002 Super Dirt Week Special

VERNON, NY -- The list of Central New York satellite races during Super DIRT Week 2002 have grown by one as the Utica-Rome Speedway recently announced the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) have been scheduled for a special show on Wednesday October 9.

This gives area Sprint Cars fans an extra chance during Super DIRT Week 2002 to see the lightning fast winged warriors in action. The ESS alcohol-breathing beasts will surely delight race fans as they watch "America's Race Cars" tear up the fast and smooth Utica-Rome surface. The very best Sprint Car drivers in the Northeastern United States will be on hand to try to take home the all-important victory. This announcement extends the Utica-Rome Speedway 2002-racing season into October, and during Super DIRT Week for the first time ever, and it will surely close out the upcoming year in exciting fashion.

Come on out to the Utica-Rome Speedway beginning next May for weekly Sunday evening professional race action sanctioned by DIRT Motorsports. Each and every Sunday you will see the mighty DIRT 358-Modifieds in competition along with the DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks. The season will culminate on Sunday September 15 with the return of the historic "New Yorker 150", a Super DIRT Series race for the 358-Modifieds, split into Twin 75-lap events with one race on the big 1/2-mile and the final 75-laps staged on the all new 3/10-mile oval.
