ASCS Sprints on Dirt Reschedules Thunderbird Event
TULSA, Okla. (May 23, 2006) -- The recently rained out Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by Victor Reinz event at Thunderbird Race Park in Muskegon, MI, has been rescheduled.
The series was originally slated to take to the high-banked, 3/8-mile clay oval on May 13, only to be washed out by rain.
The series is now set to make another try at Thunderbird Race Park on Saturday night, June 24, a night after being in action at Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, MI.
The 2006 Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by Victor Reinz slate consists of approximately 30 nights of racing at fourteen different tracks throughout Michigan, Ohio and Canada.
In its 15th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing in the United States, the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing at nearly 100 tracks throughout 27 different states and Canada in 2006 including the National Tour and its Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Patriot Sprint Group, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern and Sprints on Dirt).
