Stock Car Championship Series (SCCS) finishes first day of driver evaluations
Rocky Mount, VA, February 23, 20002: On Saturday February the 16th at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) in Alton, VA (just outside of Danville, VA) the Stock Car Championship Series (SCCS) completed the first round of Driver evaluations for its upcoming road racing series. SCCS is a Professional East Coast road racing series that will be using the popular (and abundant) Late Model Stock Car chassis with "spec" engines.

April 20-21 - Carolina Motorsports Park Kershaw, SC
June 22-23 - Summit Point Raceway Summit Point, WV
July 19 - LOWES Motor Speedway Concord, NC
August 3-4 - Atlanta Motor Speedway Hampton, GA
September 7-8 - LOWES Motor Speedway Concord, NC
October 12-13 - Virginia International Raceway Alton, VA
November 2-3 - Summit Point Raceway Summit Point, WV
December 1 - Road Atlanta Braselton, GA
SCCS is holding a Series Preview Event in Salem VA on March 2, 2002. This event is being held to give drivers, car owners, potential sponsors and the media an opportunity to review the cars, meet the SCCS Team and discuss with the technical staff on series rules.
