Myrtle Beach, SC -- The 2003 USAR Hooters ProCup season has one race remaining, but the 2004 season is right around the corner.
Before the running of the Dan Duncan Memorial Naturally Fresh Foods 250 presented by Commerce Chrysler, Tony Cox, Director of Operations for USAR, released the tentative 2004 schedule to competitors at the track.
"We're happy to be going back to some familiar tracks as well as some new ones," said Cox. "We were able to work it out so that both divisions have at least a week off to prepare for the Championship Series, and I think that will make for a very competitive finish of the 2004 season."
The Hooters ProCup Series will have 30 races in 2004. The Southern Division will race 13 events, while the Northern Division will race 12 events. Once again, the both divisions will meet for the Championship Series, a five-race shootout that determines the USAR Hooters ProCup National Champion, at the conclusion of the regular season.
Twenty-eight dates are confirmed and the decision on the remaining two dates should be announced in the next few weeks.
