Archer/Viper qualify 6th at Sebring

Sebring, Florida - Tommy Archer, driving the number 36 Cinjo Racing/Motor City True Performance/Viper, qualified in a competitive sixth for the first round of the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Cup race in Sebring.

On the sixth lap of qualifying, Archer put the Viper on the third row of the grid with a time of 2:05.476 and a speed of 106 mph. This was the first qualifying session ever for the team. The fact that the car missed the Trans Am Fast Five bonus points and money by two one-hundredths of a second is a great beginning.

Since the car was completed just recently, the Cinjo team is using the Sebring race as an extended test session. With a constant focus on changing shocks, springs and sway bar settings, the crew, headed by Will Moody, is trying to find the set-up that Archer needs to take the Viper to the front of the pack.
