REVISED EARL'S FAST QUALIFIER PROGRAM GEARED TO CAR OWNERS ANNOUNCED FOR 2007
Car owners in five USAC racing series will compete for 2007 Earl's Performance Plumbing Fast Qualifier Championships under a revised format announced today by USAC and Holley Performance Products.
Owners in USAC's Silver Crown, National Sprint Car and Midget Series, as well as the Western Sprint Car and Midget Series, will compete for $11,250 in year-end contingencies. Eligibility will include display of Earl's patches or embroidered Earl's logos on driver uniforms and visible placement of Earl's decals on both sides of the race car the entire season. Decals can not be scanned or downsized from their original size.
"We feel this program has provided extra incentive to USAC participants to excel and we are pleased to continue our association with USAC," said Bobby Writesman, manager of circle track motorsports for Holley Performance Products, Inc.
"USAC is pleased to announce the continuation of the Earl's Fast Qualifier program," added USAC President/CEO Rollie Helmling. "This program has proven to be very competitive and we look forward to hotly-contested championships in each of these series."
Points for the Earl's Fast Qualifier championships will remain as they were in previous seasons, with top qualifiers at each event receiving points on the following scale: FQ-9, 2nd-6, 3rd-4, 4th-3, 5th-2, 6th-1.
The first events in each series affording Earl's points will be March 23 at Homestead, FL (Silver Crown), March 31 at Rossburg, Ohio (National Sprint), April 7 at Kyle, Texas (National Midget), April 14 at Madera, Calif. (Western Sprint) and March 24 at Bakersfield, Calif. (Western Midget).
