Earl's Fast Qualifier update 2008-11-03

EARL'S BATTLES ERUPT IN PHOENIX THIS WEEKEND; SPENCER, JONES & ATKINSON TOP QUALIFIERS

The point lead in three Earl's Fast Qualifier Championships will be tested this weekend with four series competing in events in Arizona.

Tracy Hines is 12 points ahead of Jerry Coons Jr. in the Silver Crown Earl's standings with only nine available in Thursday's series finale at Phoenix International Raceway, while Hines has just a 13-point lead in the National Sprint Earl's points over Levi Jones with 18 points up for grabs at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix. Bobby East's lead in the National Midget Earl's standings is only nine over Brad Sweet, while Nic Faas is only seven ahead of Scott Pierovich in the Western Midget Earl's points.

Mike Spencer and Levi Jones paced qualifying in the National/Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprints at Perris, Calif. last weekend and Mark Atkinson was the fastest qualifier in the Western Midgets at Las Vegas, Nev.

Earl's Performance Plumbing, a division of Holley Performance Products of Bowling Green, Kentucky, is the sponsor of the "Earl's Performance Plumbing Fast Qualifier Championship." Earl's will present year-end cash awards to the drivers finishing in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions of the "Earl's Fast Qualifier Championships.
