MIDGETS INVADE TWIN CITIES RACEWAY PARK TUESDAY

The USAC Mopar National Midget Series and the USAC Midwest Ford Focuses compete Tuesday night at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, Ind. It marks the first appearance of USAC Midgets at the track since Jay Drake's victory in a regional event in 2000.

Brad Kuhn of Avon, Ind. sits atop the current National Midget standings, only 20 ahead of two-time series champion Jerry Coons Jr. Darren Hagen is third in the points, 48 back of the leader with 74 available Tuesday.

Joe Liguori of Tampa, Fla. is the leader in the Midwest Ford Focus standings. Tuesday's appearance is the first for the Ford Focuses at the 3/8-mile Twin Cities oval.

The Twin Cities oval has been the scene of some of USAC's most spectacular races and hosted Indiana Sprint Week events for several years won by Dave Darland, Kelly Kinser, Tony Elliott, Kevin Doty, Bud Kaeding, Jack Hewitt, J.J. Yeley, Cory Kruseman and Mat Neely.
