Weather conditions have forced cancellation of this weekend's scheduled opening events for the USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series in Rossburg, Ohio and Anderson, Ind.
Saturday night's scheduled "Don Branson/Jud Larson Classic" USAC National Sprint Car Series opener at the Eldora Speedway has been reassigned to May 30, while Sunday afternoon's "Glen Niebel Classic," which also included the opening race of the 2004 USAC Midwest Ford Focus Midget Car Series at the Anderson Speedway, will now be held April 18. The timetable for the Anderson "doubleheader" remains the same on April 18.
Bad weather during the week and an unfavorable weather forecast for this weekend has resulted in conditions not conducive to favorable racing conditions for fans or participants at either facility.
The 2004 USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series is now scheduled to open April 10 with the "Music City 150" twin-77-lap feature events at the Music City Motorplex, located at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tenn.
