Joey Saldana used his third runner-up finish in the last four events to cut 13 points off of Donny Schatz's lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings on Monday night at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington. Saldana also set fast time to earn five bonus points. Schatz's lead is now 41 points, after earning his 53 Top-10 finish of the season on Monday.
Danny Lasoski remains third in points, as the battle for the fourth spot continues to heat up. Steve Kinser in fourth leads Jason Meyers by just 22 points, with Daryn Pittman right behind them in sixth.
The rest of the Top-10 is Craig Dollansky, Paul McMahan, Jason Solwold and Tim Shaffer.
Terry McCarl closed to within one point of Jac Haudenschild who is in the 11th position. Kerry Madsen, the current leader in the battle for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award moved up to 13th in points after Monday night's event.
Also, Chad Kemenah gained a position, moving back into the 17th spot.
