New date for delayed Tri-State Speedway race
Colorado Springs, CO -- May 12, 2005 -- Officials from the World of Outlaws Sprint Series and Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla., have rescheduled to Sept. 20 the event postponed on May 9 at the 3/8-mile, high-banked track near Fort Smith, Ark.
The Outlaws' first visit in series history to the facility was delayed after heavy rain made the infield pit area inaccessible. The race now will run between the 1/3-mile Championships Sept. 16-17 at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., and a one-night show Sept. 23 at Jackson Speedway in Jackson, Minn.
Next up for the series is The Ohio Challenge on Saturday at K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio, where the World of Outlaws Sprint Series will battle drivers from the All Star Circuit of Champions.
The World of Outlaws Sprint Series is brought to the fans across the country by several sponsors and partners, including series sponsors Hoosier Racing Tire, VP Racing Fuels, Stacker 2®, and The Outdoor Channel. Promotional Partners include AMB i.t., RACEceiver, HUMMERSGONEWILD.COM, Zippo Lighters, The University of Northwestern Ohio, Timberwolf, and Race Punk apparel.
