Acropolis Rally: Anthony Warmbold leg 1 notes

On the difficult roads of the Rally of Greece, Antony Warmbold and Gemma Price finished the first leg with a satisfying 12th position. During the first special stage Antony adopted a too careful rhythm which did not enable him to sign the awaited times. However the German driver increased his speed, while passing through all the difficulty of the day in spite of the rain. Antony Warmbold and Gemma Price and all the M-Sport team, taking care of the Ford Focus WRC n°19, were satisfied with the new set-up orientation adopted during the Cyprus Rally. The second leg will be the occasion for Antony and Gemma to continue their progression, while increasing their time in order to be closer of the leader.

Antony Warmbold " As often I did not attack enough at the beginning! Our Ford Focus WRC is very good, this new set-up is perfect. The conditions were difficult today, so we did not take useless risks. As since the beginning of the season this first leg was fatal for many competitors. Tomorrow we will try to increase the rhythm in order to be closer of the leader, but we have to remain measured because we must go at the end of the rally, it is imperative. "
