Magny-Cours: YZF Yamaha Friday notes

DONI TATA PRADITA 3 SECONDS BEHIND THE POLE POSITION

The young Yamaha Indonesian rider discovered today the track of Magny-Cours and he did a correct first free practice session. He finished 3 seconds behind the provisional pole position and he can reasonably have good hopes for the qualifying session tomorrow.

Kenan Sofuoglu was the fastest in front of Joan Lascorz and Fabien Foret. The leader of the Supersport World Championship Cal Crutchlow crashed. He was not hurt, but he could only finish 9th of this session. His main opponent for the championship Eugene Laverty was in 7th position.

Doni Tata Pradita: "It was not so bad. I have a good setting for tomorrow. I try to understand the track. We need to work hard to perform well. This track is not so easy. I cannot overtake, there is not enough space. I hope to do better tomorrow."

Martial Garcia (team manager): "For his first time on this track that he didn't know, Doni is 3.1 seconds away from the fastest time. This is encouraging. I hope he will be one second faster tomorrow, which would put him in the first group. The motorcycle goes very well and Doni looks like he enjoys the track."
