SEAT Sport tests at the Autodromo International Algarve

Tiago Monteiro tested for two days at the Autodromo International Algarve last week where intensive work was on the menu for SEAT Sport and the Leon TDI with which the team defends its drivers and manufacturers title in the FIA World Touring Car Championship.

Following the test, Tiago has drawn a positive assessment of the latest developments and knows that each round is a step in the right direction. "These two days were very interesting. We tested several solutions and in particular some on the suspension and the balance of the Leon TDI. It is the first time I have undertaken some real tests on the Autodromo of Algarve and I, just like the whole team, have been very impressed by the quality of the circuit. Not only is it one of the most technical tracks in the world but it has every kind of challenge, with blind corners and high up and down hill sections. It is a track that allows you to gather useful data for the kind of testing we had planned" Tiago explained.

After having used the Estoril circuit for testing in 2008, SEAT Sport fully benefitted from two days of good weather in Algarve. The accumulated data will now be used for the development of the five cars which take part in the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
