Law Finishes 6th Overall in 2004 Porsche Cup Points
December 24, 2004 Phoenix, Arizona - Endurance racing standout Darren Law of Phoenix, Arizona completed his 2004 race season by finishing 6th in the world Porsche Cup points race. The annual world Porsche Cup pits drivers of Porsche powered racecars in a worldwide competition to accrue the maximum number of points in their respective professional series. Law, who has finished well in Porsche Cup points in previous years, with an 8th place in 2000 and 2001, had a busy 2004 season, driving a Porsche powered Brumos FABCAR Daytona Prototype in the Rolex Grand American Sports Car series, as well as a 911 GT3RSR for Flying Lizard Motorsports in the American Le Mans Series GT class.
"I'm happy to have finished in the top ten again this year, and it is always an honor to be placed amongst this group of drivers," remarked Law. "We had a pretty good 2004 season, and with we have planned for 2005, I'm hoping for another good result in the Porsche Cup standings next season."
Law is slated to again pilot the #58 Red Bull Brumos Porsche FABCAR in the Rolex Grand American with David Donohue in 2005, and will also will be competing in the Grand Am Cup with a Zoom Motorsports prepared Porsche 996. Darren will also be competing in a limited schedule with the American Le Mans Series. Both Grand Am and ALMS will allow Law to compete for points in the 2005 Porsche Cup.
