Flying Lizard Qualifies Seventh and Eighth for the New England Grand Prix

July 2, 2005--Lime Rock, CT - - The Flying Lizard Motorsports No. 44 and No. 45 Porsche GT3 RSRs qualified seventh and eighth today in GT2 for the upcoming New England Grand Prix on Monday, July 4.

"We've had a challenging time with setup for this race and we just didn't get where we wanted to be by qualifying," said crew chief Tommy Sadler.

Lonnie Pechnik, who qualified the No. 44 seventh in GT2, said "Lime Rock is a short, bumpy course and the track is alternatively slippery and grippy, which makes it harder to get a consistent setup."

Jon Fogarty qualified the No. 45 eighth in GT2. He added, "We'll see what we can do on Monday during the race. The GT2 field is very competitive this year and we'll do everything we can."

The team returned last week from Le Mans, France, where they took third in GT2 in the 24 Heures du Mans endurance race in the team's No. 80 Porsche, manned by Johannes van Overbeek, Lonnie Pechnik, and Seth Neiman.

The New England Grand Prix gets the green flag on Monday, July 4 at 3 pm ET. The race will be broadcast by Speed Channel.
