Goerke leaps from 10th to 6th in points with a strong top five finish

Biloxi, MS - The Suzuki City Lites team has their best race of the season this past Saturday night in St. Louis, with Matt Goerke carding a season-high fourth, with teammate Steven Clarke coming across the stripe in seventh.

"We had a great night in St. Louis," says Michael Nasakaitis, the very pleased team manager. "Tonight was the third time this season we had both guys in the top 10. It's nice to see all the hard work pay off."

Suzuki City is one of only three teams to have a rider finish in the top 10 at every Eastern Regional Lites race thus far.

"Matt Goerke has been working on his starts; he finally got the onehe needed," Nasakaitis says. "He put his head down, put in some impressive lap times and scored his best result of the season."

Steven Clarke has also been riding really well, even though he's been nursing a knee injury. "Between it being his first season in supercross and riding injured, I couldn't ask for a better performance from Scuba," admits Nasakaitis.

"The entire team, riders, mechanics, and guys back at the shop have put so much effort into this season, it's great to see the results coming in."

The next stop for the Suzuki City team is the Toronto Supercross on March 28, 2009.
