Fresh off Top-10 Finish, McGilton Ready to Take on the Milwaukee Mile
West Allis, Wisc. (August 24, 2007) -- Phillip McGilton makes his first appearance at the Milwaukee Mile this weekend in the Governor's Cup 200 as the ARCA RE/MAX Series returns for its 10th visit to the famed one-mile paved oval. Fresh off a 10th place finish in his dirt track debut, McGilton is confident that he and his Brewco Motorsports teammates will continue their success in Milwaukee. With sunny weather in the forecast for the weekend, McGilton is ready to take the Milwaukee Mile by storm.
"We had a really good test at Gateway," commented McGilton, "and we're bringing the same car to Milwaukee. I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I think the No. 47 SI Performance Ford Fusion will be really good and strong here."
McGilton remains in 2nd place in the race for ARCA Rookie of the Year behind Michael McDowell. McGilton is currently in the 5th position in the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship race with 3200 points, 105 points behind 4th place Justin Allgaier.
