"Cleveland has always been a great race for us. Not only is it DSTP's
hometown race, but I won it in 2000 and Joey finished second last year.
We're also coming off of what was a really good race for us in Toronto.
We didn't win, but we had the speed and were closing on the leaders in
the final laps. More importantly, we're all starting to work very well
together. Without any testing time with me in the car, we've basically
had to use the last few races as test sessions. It always takes a
little time for a driver and a team to understand how each other works
and, now, we really seem to be narrowing that gap. We've also made a
lot of progress with the car that will be to our benefit for the rest of
the season. We're looking forward to a solid run this weekend."
Alex Garcia #8 Transnet Racing/Dixien Swift 014.a
"It was a shame what happened in Toronto," Alex Garcia said. "My main
goal in Cleveland is to move from the back to the middle of the starting
grid and finish the race. We are working very hard and we have some
plans to address areas where we need improvement. I am looking forward
to learning the Cleveland track. This configuration is a very special
one. It looks quite exciting with many opportunities for overtaking."

"Finishing second in front of the hometown crowd has left me very
satisfied with the result. We have been slowly moving up in the points,
as we are finishing consistently now. We have learned a lot with the
new car in the past few races and continue to make the car faster. Our
engine program with Arnie Loynings has also been very good, as we seem
to make major and more gains in the engine department. With everybody
doing their part and working real hard it's only time before we are at
the top step on the podium. Going into Cleveland we will be working
very hard to collect some good points and maybe my first win".
Rocky Moran Jr. #4 Sigma Autosport Swift 014.a
"Cleveland is one of my favorite tracks of the entire schedule. The
track super wide and super fast and as long as I can survive turn
one-there will be a lot of opportunities to pass here. I think we're
starting to get caught up to the rest of our competition and I'm really
looking forward to the rest of the season. Everyone on the SIgma
Atlantic team has been working really hard & hopefully this weekend our
hard work will pay off."
David Wieringa #3 Sigma Autosport Swift 014.a
"Cleveland is a very unique track. It is not a road course, but it is
not a street course either. It is wide, flat, and very fast, especially
at the turns. There are long straights, so it makes a good race to pass
at. I had the most fun at this track last year when I was driving in
the Barber Dodge Pro Series. I postest one of the best race laps here
during the race then. This will be my first time driving on this track
in a Toyota Atlantic car. I am really excited to get in the car and
race again."
Michael Valiante #19 Lynx Racing Swift 014.a
"Cleveland is the only airport circuit on the CART schedule, and it's
quite an exciting form of racing. The crowd can see the entire track
from the stands, so it's almost like an oval race with some right turns
thrown in. For the driver, it's a wide track with plenty of room to
pass, but there isn't much in the way of reference points, so you really
have to keep your focus or you can get lost out there."

"Luck's a funny thing in racing, and I'm really, really hoping that I
used up all my bad luck at Toronto and Cleveland will turn out to be a
good weekend. I really like this track, and it rewards a team that can
achieve just the right balance between shock absorber settings and
aerodynamic downforce. It's fast and bumpy and by the time you're done
it feels like you've had a fist fight in a phone booth at a hundred and
fifty miles an hour. Fortunately, after last weekend, I've got some mad
I haven't used up yet, and I'm ready for a fight."
Waldemar Coronas #88 Scuadra Fortia/Aviacsa/Standox/Maizoro Swift 014.a
"I'm looking forward to Cleveland. After touching wheels and walls in
Toronto, it will be nice to drive on a wide track like Cleveland.
Toronto proved to be a tough track for me (completing just two laps). It
was easy to bump other cars with that tight track. At Cleveland,
everything is so open that you would think there is plenty of room. But
that is not the case all of the time. Everybody tries to get to the same
spot in the corner and things can happen."
Eduardo Figueroa #86 Scuadra Fortia/Aviacsa/Standox/Maizoro Swift 014.a
"There seemed to be a lot of things happening in front of me today,"
said Figueroa, who finished third straight event. "I was just trying to
avoid accidents for awhile. And we did get to the checkered flag. It's
been a difficult year so far with our team starting late and learning
about this series. But the team has done a great job hanging together
throughout the beginning of the season."
Ryan Hunter-Reay #1 Hylton Motorsports/Medlock Ames Winery/Autobytel/U.S

"Cleveland is a terrific track and I'm really looking forward to it. It
is much different track that we compete on. It really allows you to
maximize your car and the driver to tackle the track. The Championship
points standings are starting to take shape and right now and we are
sitting in third. We have set our sights on another strong result this
weekend. It would be great to close this stretch winning two out of
three, closing the gap to first."
