KOOL/Toyota Atlantic Chicago Qualifying

CICERO, Ill. - Canadian Andrew Bordin will start from the pole position for Saturday's KOOL/Toyota Atlantic Championship race at the Chicago Motor Speedway. Bordin, of Woodbridge, Ont., Canada, earned his first Atlantic career pole with his time of 26.769 seconds around the new 1.029-mile oval course. Rookie Sam Hornish, Jr., of Defiance, Ohio, will start a career-high second place after recording a time of 27.041 seconds. Points leader Anthony Lazzaro, of Acworth, Ga., will start third with a time of 27.333 seconds. Saturday's round 9 of the KOOL/Toyota Atlantic Championship is set for a 3 p.m., and will be first-ever race on the Chicago Motor Speedway course.
