Danica Patrick claims her first Atlantic pole position
* Today's pole position is the first of Danica Patrick's CART Toyota Atlantic Championship career. It comes in her 17th Atlantic start. Her previous best starting position was third at Monterrey, Mexico and at Portland (Round 4) this season.
* This is first Atlantic pole position for Argent Mortgage Company. Prior to today the best start for the Argent Mortgage Atlantic car was third at Monterrey, Mexico.
* This is the highest start for a female driver in the history of the Atlantic championship.
* This is the first pole position for Rahal Letterman Racing Toyota Atlantic program.
* This is Rahal Letterman Racing's third pole position at Portland. Max Papis started and won from the pole here in 2001. Bryan Herta started from the pole and finished third in 1998.
* Rahal Letterman Racing has won once at Portland. Max Papis led 69 laps in a downpour in 2001 to capture his second career Champ Car win.
* Rahal Letterman Racing has won 12 pole positions since the start of the 2001 season. This is the fourth straight season that Rahal Letterman Racing has won a pole position and the fifth in the last six years.
